Besides it, you have to know about cardinal, ordinal and nominal number.
A cardinal number tells how many. Cardinal numbers are also known as counting numbers, because they show quantity.
Here are some examples using cardinal numbers: 8 puppies,14 friends
Ordinal numbers tell the order of things in a set—first, second, third, etc. Ordinal numbers do not show quantity. They only show rank or position. Here are some examples using ordinal numbers:3rd fastest,6th in line

Teaching Media

guys, we usually use media in teaching. there are so many media, but we never notice what media is. hmmm.. lets read the brief explanation below.. ^_^

Media comes from Latin “medius” means that “mediator”. Media is everything which can help to convey information and also can trigger students’ interest to learn, so it creates effective learning process. Learning has communication process between student and teacher, and in that process needs media to deliver the purpose also give feedback. Teaching media has a lot of advantages, they are:
·         Overcome students’ weaknesses in experience, sense, time, and place
·         Create interaction between students and their environment
·         Trigger students to observe and apply the concept correctly, concretely, and realistic.
·         Can motivate students and teacher to learn much
Using teaching media should be based on the purpose and consider it with subject characteristic and curriculum material. The characteristics of teaching media are, fixative property, manipulative property, and distributive property. It develops until now, from printed, audio/audio visual, computer/web, and printed + computer. Developing media should be procedural, conceptual, and theoretical.
Considering teaching media based on ACTION (access, cost, technology, interactivity, organization, novelty). Choosing and considering teaching media can be based on 9 characteristics, such as easy, inexpensive, royal, interesting, up to date, useful, effective, efficient,  and continue. Teaching media will be challenging for teacher to be more creative and innovative in teaching. We can use everything around us as media to teach. It will help us to apply active, creative, effective, and fun learning. Because learning through listening will be easier to forget, learning trough seeing will easier to remember, and learning by doing will understand. ^^
